Helping students achieve reading proficiency
towards academic Excellence

As the saying goes – “reading is fundamental”. It can be, if you have the ability to read and books that are interesting.
Dr Carrie B Robinsonittleton Elementary School, located in North Fort Myers, Florida, is a Title 1 school that provides all children with significant opportunities to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps. This is where the Littleton Elementary Excellence in Education Program, Inc. (LEEEP) provides a little extra help to students learning to read while making it fun and exciting through great books in its newly revamped library. So, what is LEEEP all about.
- We provide books at the appropriate reading level to all kindergarten and first grade students four times a year through our Book Buddy Program.
- We celebrate reading achievements by providing a party at the school twice a year to honor the students in each class who meet or exceed their reading goals.
- We provide a gift bag in December for every student that includes a book at their reading level, a puzzle or game, and art supplies to take home and keep.
- We purchase new books for the library that meet Lee County education requirements including the award-winning Caldecott and Newbery books that the children can enjoy.
- LEEEP is known for its “senior power” at Littleton. We have volunteers from local communities that help in the library or read to the children in the classroom.
- We host two recognition events for the teachers to show our appreciation for the work they do.
- We host several fundraising events throughout the year to support our mission. Click here for the Events page
